Niederholtmeyer scored two goals and assisted on three others as the Stars won a
pair of games last week, increasing their record to 17-1. In a 3-0 win versus
Illinois Wesleyan University, Niederholtmeyer scored the game's first goal, and
then assisted on Dominican's final goal. He then added a goal and two assists in
a 8-1 victory against Marian College in a LMC tournament quarterfinal game on
Saturday.

Joe Silverberg of Lakeland College

Silverberg did not allow a goal at senior day for the Muskies in a, 0-0, tie to
MSOE. The shutout marked his fourth of the season, all coming in conference
play. Silverberg extended the Lakeland career shutout record to 12, the previous
record holder was Sam Pavlik with nine shutouts from 1998-2001. Lakeland (5-7-4,
3-1-3 LMC) finished the LMC regular season tied for third place.

Niederholtmeyer played a part on six of Dominican's seven goals last week,
scoring four and assisting on two. The senior forward scored a hat trick and
assisted on a goal in the Stars' 5-1 victory over Marian College last Wednesday.
He then scored and assisted on the Stars' two goals in a 2-0 shutout at Lakeland
on Saturday, finishing the conference season a perfect 7-0 mark. Dominican
(13-1, 7-0 LMC) is currently ranked No. 12 in the latest NSCAA/adidas National
Rankings.

Matt Kochanowski of Dominican University
...Freshman...Forward...Arlington Heights, Ill. (Fremd H.S.)...
Kochanowski scored a trio of goals in two wins for the No. 15 Stars last week.
On October 4, the freshman forward scored a pair of goals, including the
game-winning goal, in the 3-1 victory over Concordia University (Wis.).
Kochanowski then scored a goal in a 3-0 win at Wisconsin Lutheran College. The
Stars improved to 11-1 overall, and a perfect 5-0 in LMC play.

Niederholtmeyer recorded a pair of hat-tricks against in two wins versus LMC
opponents Maranatha Baptist and Edgewood last week. He also assisted on a goal
in the 5-0 win at Maranatha Baptist. The 17th ranked Stars (9-1, 3-0 LMC) are
currently the highest scoring offense among all of NCAA Division III teams (5.0
GPG as of Sept. 25).

Alex Gonnsen of Edgewood College

Gonnsen played a crucial role coming off the bench in Edgewood's 3-2 win over
Marian College in both teams LMC opener, as the rookie scored his first
collegiate goal and assist. Gonnsen's goal at the 69:15 mark tied the game at
2-2 and his assist to teammate Harper Taggart provided the Eagles (3-5, 1-0 LMC)
with the lead with just under nine minutes remaining in the game.

Kochanowski led the 6-0 Stars, currently ranked 14th in the latest NSCAA/adidas
Division III National Rankings, to two wins last week. On the week, he netted
five goals, including four goals against John Carroll University in a 7-1
victory, and another in a 4-1 win against North Park University.
September 5-11
Ryan Castelic of Marian College
...Junior...Defender...DePere, Wis. (West DePere H.S.)...
In a 1-0 victory over Blackburn College on Saturday, Castelic scored the game's
only goal. He scored the game-winning goal from his defender position, where his
defensive play impacted the game as well. On Sunday, Castelic tallied another
goal in the 4-0 victory, and his defense helped preserve the Sabres' (2-2-1)
second shutout of the week.

The rookie forward scores five goals in his first collegiate contest as the
Stars (2-0) routed Concordia University (Ill.), 14-0, in the season opener on
September 1. Kochanowski also tallied his first collegiate assist in a 4-1 win
over Webster University on the 4th.
