2005 PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Dusty Schwab of Edgewood College
...Freshman...Waunakee, Wis. (Waunakee H.S.)...
Schwab carded a two-day total of 143 at the Big Blue Classic hosted by Millikin University this past weekend. He shot a 73 on the first day, and a two-under 70 the second day to finish in a three-way tie for medalist honors, but lost on a tiebreaker to finish second.

 

September 19-25
Brian Richards of Marian College
...Senior...Waupaca, Wis. (Waupaca H.S.)...
At the Edgewood College Culver's Fall Invite Richards carded a 148 (76, 72) to finish in a tie for first-place, losing the tie-breaker to MSOE's Scott Maupin. The Sabres finished tied for fifth-place at the 13 team event, and finished 3rd out of participating LMC teams.

September 12-18
Scott Maupin of Milwaukee School of Engineering
...Junior...Waukesha, Wis. (West H.S.)...
At the Wisconsin Lutheran College Invitational, Maupin shot a second round 65, added to his first-day total of 69, to give him 10-under par for the tournament, and medalist honors. Maupin broke two school records, while as a team, the Raider foursome score of 572 was also a school record. MSOE won the 11-team event by 37 strokes over runner-up carthage college.
